The pupils got into the bus at different stations all over the Saarland . We went by the Sunshine-bus. First we talked about a lot of things, then we slept, but I was not able to sleep. The bus driver told us a lot about London . Early in the morning we arrived at the harbour. They checked our identity cards and then we went on the ship. One hour and a half later we arrived at Dover.

At half past eight in the morning, after two more hours in the bus, we arrived at London .
We visited a lot of famous buildings and places:
For example: Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Trafalgar Square, Downing Street No. 10, The Houses of Parliaments, the Buckingham Palace and Harrods.
Big Ben is a tower and has a big bell. We heard it two times, at quarter to nine and at nine o’clock.
Westminster Abbey is a beautiful church which is more than 900 years old.
We wanted to visit the Tower of London , but it was too expensive.

We had lunch near the Tower of London and the Tower bridge. We had to order our lunch in English and this was hard. Sergej and I ate a special pizza hot and spicy for 16,70₤.
I had to get small change to pay the bill. I nearly fell down the stairs, but a man caught me. We took the tube (underground) and a bus. In England cars have to drive on the left side.
Tube is the name for the London underground.
The Tube is cheap; we paid 80 pence for a Day Ticket for the Tube and the bus.
At Westminster , we took the green line, its name is District line to Tower hill. That’s five stations.

In the evening we took the tube back to Embankment station. There we got on the Sunshine bus and went to the ferry which took us back to France . It was very interesting because it was a new ship. On our way back to the Saarland we were very tired and slept.
